I've been playing eve for a long time, and I've played online games a long time before that. Eve players are among the most mature I've seen, and that doesn't mean they are all saints. I've fought a lot of players who are older than me and are crazy smacktalking psychotics, and I've fought players who are younger than me who are absolutely fine. That said, I've fought against players younger than me who are complete ****s, and people older than me who are more skilled, more patient and politer than I think I ever will be. While age has some effects, it is not an absolute defining factor, and if you think it is, you are miserably wrong. I wouldn't want to play with people who judge players by race or gender, and I don't want players who judge by age.
What I truly resent is the number of people who are below 18 who have played this game for a long time and do not smack, do not whine and do not do any of the things that you seem to imply are inherent in people my age or younger. Myself and others have put a lot into this game, and we have got a lot out. Many of us have played longer than you, and probably longer than you will stay. You have no right to try and remove us from Eve. I have no right to try and remove you from Eve. That doesn't mean I don't want you to go.
Sorry Hippo, it's a sad fact of live. The young have always been discriminated against and always will be.
After all we all know that in real life teenagers andearly twenty something or others are nothing but a bunch of self centred yobs who don't give a toss about anything but themselves.
Well except for all the lads and lass's in the gulf I guess, all those lads and lass's working hard to get the exams they need to enter medical/nursing school, all those lads and lass's who are taking 'gap' year's and doing their best to help out in the third world.
If you listen to the news in the UK at least you will get the image that todays youth are nothing but a bunch or stoned, drunken, knife wealding psychopaths,unfortunatly all it needs is one or two bad apples to taint a whole generation.
It happened to my generation back in the 70's and will happen still when you hit your 50's. It looks like mankind still has a lot of growing up to do unfortunatly
